Mexico Has Vertical Gardens on Highway Pillars and Buildings
There are ways of improving our air pollution dilemmas, and Mexico has come up with a very creative solution.
It is amazing to me why so many people believe that concrete, rocks, and fake grass are the solutions to our water and pollution problems. It is just the opposite! It may help in certain areas; however, there needs to be a balance, not ripping out a majority of the trees and plants.
Have you ever noticed how much hotter it is when there are only rocks, concrete, and dirt than when there are plants, trees, and grass? Have you ever noticed how much fresher the air is when you take a deep breath?
It is a crime when beautiful trees and plants are ripped out and replaced with rocks and dirt, and, oh maybe a small plant or two.
Also, has anyone noticed that the temperatures usually get hotter in areas with less greenery?
Which one is more comfortable when it is hot outside?
- Sitting in a backyard with trees, grass, and plants or
- Sitting in a backyard surrounded by rocks, cement and a small flowering bush in the far corner?
Note: Amazing that there is a way of recycling plastics into mulch that these plants can grow in!
