Does Your Body Have Enough B12? Are Your Stamina and Energy at Peak Performance?

B12 deficiency is a major problem. Do you have enough B12 to support your maximum stamina and energy?

Are you deficient in vitamin B12 and don't know it? Or if you do, do you know how to increase your intake of B12 naturally?

by Eugenia Martini-Jarrett

I have been researching B12 deficiency because of my own issues, and even though my last blood test showed that my levels were "within range", I found myself not having the pep that I want to have, sometimes even dragging, and wearing out way too fast! Apparently, I also do not retain my B12 very well, due to activity, stress, not eating well, etc., so some days I have more in my system than others.

HYDROPONICS - How Exactly Does This Work?

Learn and grow your own hydroponics garden
Hydroponics is a subject I have always wanted to seriously research. The following article inspired me to finally satisfy my knowledge of How and Why this works.
How can we get all the nutrients that we get out of plants grown in organic, mineral-rich soils and the sun, out of plants grown in water?
Following is an excellent article explaining 'Hydroponics' and its benefits.
I would love to hear from readers who have experience with Hydroponics and hear your stories. It seems like this may be an excellent option to increase our accessibility to healthy foods.  ~ Eugenia M. Jarrett

Detoxifier, Excellent Chelating Agent, Powerful Blood Builder - News on Chorophyll

Chlorophyll: A powerful blood builder and chelating agent

by Michael Ravensthorpe

Chlorophyll for blood building health and vitality
Chlorophyll is the green pigment in plants responsible for absorbing the light necessary for photosynthesis. It is often considered to be the "blood" of plants, since it comprises the basic physiology of the plant and is required for their basic metabolic functions, such as growth and respiration. While most land plants contain chlorophyll to some degree, those with the deepest green colors contain the greatest concentrations of it.

Do You Consume Too Much Copper?

Do You Consume Too Much Copper? Copper from diet linked to increased risk of Alzheimer's disease

by John Phillip

Over the past 50 to 100 years, the incidence of new Alzheimer's disease cases have remained relatively low, partly due to poor diagnostic techniques, but to a much larger extent, because the root dietary and lifestyle practices that precipitate this devastating illness were minimized or non-existent. Food processing methods, exposure to household chemicals and environmental toxins and lack of physical activity have all contributed to an explosion in the number of people with early stages of Alzheimer's dementia as well as those suffering from more advanced forms of the disease.

Research scientists from the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York have published the results of a study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciencesjournal that provides evidence to explain how a common metal we are all exposed to may help to promote development and progression of the illness.

Cleanse Your Body of Toxins: How to Detox Your Body Naturally

Cleanse Your Body of Toxins: How to Detox Your Body Naturally

Like all people, you need to cleanse your body of toxins periodically.  Every day, year after year, we are all exposed to various toxic contaminants - and they build up in our bodies.  The fact is that most people on the planet have never engaged in effective detoxification.

Decades of poisonous elements accumulate and form a hard plaque in the walls of our intestines.  This plaque is a breeding ground for disease.  As your blood circulates around it, various toxins attached to it.  These toxins are then delivered throughout the body.  They lodge and hide in various locations – and they cause you to become sick.
Learning how to detox your body naturally allows the filtration systems in your body to catch up on their work.  Your liver, kidneys, gallbladder and more become overburdened with work through the years.  They simply cannot keep up with filtering out all of the toxins that we come in contact with on a daily basis including:
Pesticides, steroids and preservatives in the foods that we have made available to us
Poisonous herbicides that coat the vegetables we buy
Trace elements of heavy metals that are found in our water supplies, in the ground and in the air we breathe
Various chemicals that we are exposed to through our lives
And so much more…
You must cleanse your body of toxins!

You see, unless you cleanse your body of these toxins periodically, you’re very likely to experience an array of unhealthy disorders including:

Premature aging
Acne, psoriasis and various other skin disorders
Chronic halitosis (bad breath)
Digestive problems including constipation, bloating and flatulence
Unnecessary pains and aches that never seem to go away
Body odor
And an entire selection of completely preventable diseases including various forms of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, chronic fatigue syndrome, kidney failure, liver failure and more.

All of those symptoms are representative of the fact that your body is trying to expel the toxins from within it.  The lifestyles that we lead are not natural.  Industrialization and the prevalence of urbanization have taken us far away from the holistic, plant-based and physically active lifestyles of our pasts.  It is of vital importance to learn how to detox your body naturally.

Recipe ideas - Enjoy healthy beetroot

Recipe ideas - Enjoy healthy beetroot
by Fleur Hupston

Beetroot is an ideal vegetable for both sweet and savory dishes. Packed with health benefits, beetroot has an earthy bitter/sweet taste that makes it ideal to eat either raw in salads or cooked in soups and stews. Read on for some great recipe ideas.

Baby beetroot is around the size of a golf-ball and is slightly sweeter than mature specimens. Beetroot leaves look a lot like baby spinach, with red stems and veins showing through the dark leaves. Often used in mixed salads, they have a peppery taste and a crunchy texture. Use as you would baby spinach leaves.

Choose beetroot that is firm to the touch and look carefully to make sure it is free of mold. Buy beetroot that has the stem and leaves remaining, preferably from an organic market.

Beetroot Health Benefits

Studies undertaken by the Queen Mary University, UK and published in the Journal of the American Heart Association have shown that beetroot juice can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. According to the research, naturally occurring nitrates in the beetroot produce a gas called nitric oxide in the blood which widens vessels and arteries...

Magnesium Slashes Risk of Sudden Cardiac Death and Naturally Lowers Blood Sugar

Magnesium Slashes Risk of Sudden Cardiac Death and Naturally Lowers Blood Sugar
by John Phillip

Magnesium is one of the most common elemental minerals in the human body, yet experts believe that more than 90% of adults are deficient, placing them at extreme risk of sudden death from a heart attack and of developing diabetes. Hundreds of biochemical functions that drive energy metabolism and DNA repair are fueled by magnesium. We rely on eating vegetables and other natural foods grown in magnesium rich soils as our source of this vital mineral. Most people don`t eat enough fresh vegetables to supply adequate magnesium while poor farming practices have depleted the mineral from most commercially grown crops. You can ensure that you receive magnesium though diet and supplementation to stave off heart disease and metabolic dysfunction.

Magnesium Deficiency Linked with Diabetes
Magnesium is used by hundreds of enzymes in our body to regulate blood sugar metabolism..
